Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 2026 | Leicestershire, UK

1. Clinic Identity & Governance

These terms and conditions govern the clinical services provided by James Pegg Lic.ac MBAcC. James operates as a self-employed practitioner and holds full insurance under the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) Members Group Policy.

By arranging an appointment, you agree to comply with the clinic's operational parameters outlined below.

2. Fees & Payment

The exact fee schedule and payment methods will be provided prior to your first appointment. Payment must be settled as agreed prior to or at the time of consultation.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Clinical time is strictly partitioned and highly prepared for. To maintain the integrity of the clinic's schedule, the following cancellation parameters apply to all patients:

4. Clinical Suitability & Outcomes

Submission of the online diagnostic intake form does not guarantee clinical acceptance. The initial consultation is designed to assess the root cause of your presenting symptoms and establish a true baseline. No specific clinical outcome can be guaranteed from treatment.

If it is determined during the initial evaluation that your presentation falls outside the scope of Classical Five Element Acupuncture, or requires urgent assessment or treatment by another appropriate healthcare professional, the clinic reserves the right to decline ongoing treatment and refer you accordingly.

It is your responsibility to fully and accurately disclose relevant medical history, medications, and changes in health condition to ensure safe and effective treatment.

5. Medical Emergencies

Acupuncture is not a substitute for emergency medical care. In a life-threatening emergency, call 999. For urgent medical help that is not life-threatening, use NHS 111 or contact your GP.

6. Minors & Chaperones

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the consultation and treatment. The parent or legal guardian must provide formal consent for treatment. Any patient has the right to bring an impartial chaperone to their consultation.

7. Aggressive Energy Clearing

As standard protocol within this specific classical architecture, every initial session begins with a mandatory clinical clearing to test for and drain Aggressive Energy (AE). We must establish a clean physiological baseline before true Causative Factor treatment can begin.

8. Liability & Professional Standards

James Pegg maintains appropriate professional standards, continuing professional development, and comprehensive Medical Malpractice and Public/Products Liability insurance in accordance with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) Members Group Policy.

9. Complaints

If you have a clinical or service complaint, you may raise it directly with James Pegg to be addressed in line with professional standards. For complaints regarding the handling of your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Notice.

10. Governing Law & Severability

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
